flowmatters is a research & consultancy company originating from the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), with the expertise on the interface of Fluid Dynamics and Surface Tribology. flowmatters contributes to product development in order to optimize the interaction between fluid flows and surface (coatings, textiles, marine paints and waxes). The R&D is based on multi disciplinary integration of in house expertise of materials, hydrodynamics and optical measurements methods.
Activities from total project management to R&D on materials choice, surface treatment and interface interactions by nano/micro structures.
The company has ownership on test facilities that are unique due to the high accuracy and reproducibility, at which the turbulent flow is similar to practical conditions. The data generates an unique understanding of fluid-surface interaction and stimulate further product improvements.
